CRITICAL APPROACHES (online):
The world is a complex place - conspiracy theories, "fake news," everyone with a microphone & an opinion pushing podcasts. Developed by a Doctor of Education, this course explores critical thinking, fact-checking, and research skills through theory & discussion.

LEARN TO LEAD (hybrid):
Develop leadership skills such as communication, confidence, conflict resolution, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and teamwork to take on leadership roles in school, the workplace, and the community.

WORKPLACE READY (hybrid):
Workplace preparation skills for those entering the workforce including job applications, resume writing, interviewing skills, effective communication, public speaking, and professional etiquette.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID+CPR:
General knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Includes victim assessment, choking & CPR, external bleeding, heart attack, stroke and burns. (1 day)

STANDARD FIRST AID+CPR:
Comprehensive first aid training. Incorporates all of Emergency First Aid as well as head & spinal injuries, bone & joint injuries, heat & cold injuries, and medical emergencies. (2 days)

BRONZE CROSS:
Prepares candidates to become assistant lifeguards; emphasizes lifesaving skills, techniques for active surveillance in aquatic facilities, and the importance of teamwork in preventing and responding to aquatic emergencies.

NATIONAL LIFEGUARD:
Canada's professional lifeguard certification; emphasizes the principles, practices, and decision-making processes to provide effective safety supervision, including skills to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies.
